The EBA Way - A Better Way to Buy a Home

Despite current economic challenges, 83 percent of Americans still believe buying a home is a good financial decision, according to NAR’s 2009 National Housing Pulse Survey.

Mortgage News Daily reported on Tuesday that the House of Representatives voted unanimously Monday to extend the deadline for the home buyers’ tax credit for eligible military personnel and foreign service and intelligence officers.

HR 3590 will allow this group to apply for the $8,000 tax credit for one year beyond its current deadline, November.    

According to the article, "Representative Charlie Rangle introduced the bill because it was thought that families overseas were being passed over for this one-time opportunity to purchase a home.  To read the full article, Click Here.

I want to share something today that doesn’t really have anything to do with real estate but everything to do with HOME. You have to check out this You Tube video that captures the emotional homecoming for a soldier, gone 14 long months in Iraq, and his best friends' welcome. I admit, I have a soft spot in my heart for our soldiers and I love dogs so this was especially moving for me. I hope you enjoy watching this short clip and I think, as one commenter recommends, I will link it to my desktop for those times when I need to put things in perspective.
